２月にSustain-Releaseとのコラボ公演を東京で開催するPACIFIC MODEが、2019年以来の来日となるレフトフィールド・ベースミュージック DJ/プロデューサーで、天才的センスを発揮するSimo Cellのレアなライブセットと、NYCから"ベースビン・ミニマリズム"と評される独自のテクスチャーとリズムを創り上げるK Wataを招いて2/28 (土) WWWβにて開催。

Livity Sound, BFDM, Wisdom Teethといった最先端かつハイクオリティなレーベルからリリースを重ね、2021年のミニアルバム『YES.DJ』は世界中のクラブでプレイされ、ダンス・フロアのクラシックとなった、Simo Cellが待ちに待った約７年ぶりに来日する。自身のレーベルTEMETでは、先鋭的な才能に光を当てると同時に、フランスおよびヨーロッパ各地でワークショップやマスタークラスを開催し、次世代へ知識と経験を伝えている。７年の時を経て、磨きがかかった貴重なライブセットを堪能してほしい。また、広がりのあるダブ的テクスチャーと、ミニマルなクラブ・リズムを追求し、ブルックリンのThe Lot Radioや上海のHeimでレジデントを務める、レーベルおよびクラブ・ナイト"SLINK"よりK Wataが再来日を果たす。

PACIFIC MODE主宰のDJ Healthyがオープン、クロージングにChangsieがWWWβへ久々にカムバックを果たす。ラウンジスペースには昨年からPACIFIC MODEに加わったHue Rayと、大阪を拠点にfieldを主宰し、ミニマル〜オーガニック〜アンビエントをキーワードに活動するast midori、レフトフィールド・ダンス・ミュージックを溢れるセンスでセレクトするHimawariがラインナップ。

PACIFIC MODE, will host a collaborative event with Sustain-Release in Tokyo this February, welcomes a rare live set from the leftfield bass music DJ/producer Simo Cell--returning to Japan for the first time since 2019--and NYC-based K Wata, known for crafting distinctive textures and rhythms described as "bassbin minimalism." The party will be on Saturday, February 28 at WWWβ.

With releases on cutting-edge, high-quality labels such as 'Livity Sound', 'BFDM', and 'Wisdom Teeth', Simo Cell's 2021 mini-album YES.DJ became a dancefloor classic, played in clubs around the world. After a long-awaited return to Japan nearly seven years in the making, he will present a rare and refined live set. Through his own label 'TEMET', Simo Cell not only spotlights forward-thinking talent but also runs workshops and masterclasses across France and Europe, passing on his knowledge and experience to future generations. This long-awaited performance offers a chance to experience a live set that has grown even sharper with time.

Also returning to Japan is K Wata from the label and club night 'SLINK', who pursues spacious dub-inspired textures and minimalist club rhythms. He has held residencies at Brooklyn's The Lot Radio and Heim in Shanghai, and continues to build a reputation for his distinctive sound and approach.

The night will open with DJ Healthy, founder of PACIFIC MODE, and close with a surprise comeback set from Changsie.In the lounge space, the lineup includes Hue Ray, who joined PACIFIC MODE last year, ast midori, based in Osaka and the head of field, whose work centers on minimal, organic, and ambient sounds, and Himawari, known for her refined selections of leftfield dance music.
